Dr. Preston has been a veterinarian at Birchwood Animal Hospital since 2002 and a partner since 2010. She grew up in Winnipeg and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Winnipeg before being accepted to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. Her practice includes wellness and internal medicine, surgery and dentistry, nutrition and behaviour. She currently serves as Managing Partner for the clinic. Dr. Preston was the shelter veterinarian at D’Arcy’s ARC for over a decade, and has served on Council for the Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association. She volunteered with the Association on many committees. Other volunteer work has included being a member of the Companion Animal Health Fund Advisory Board as well as ushering with the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre. Dr. Preston lives in Winnipeg with her husband. They have enjoyed having several dogs and cats over the years, but their current love is a rescue dog. Dr. Preston is a proud Winnipegger who enjoys serving the community of St. James and beyond.
